This is a big fundraising campaign, as CHIRP is now less than a month away from launching its broadcast signal at 107.1 FM, which means a lot of added expenses. And more listeners, which should lead to more volunteers, looking for an opportunity to get on the radio for the first time (or help in some other capacity). This is a labor of love for me and being able to teach others how to broadcast makes it all the more worthwhile. For this campaign, I have come up with a special broadcast launch-related incentive. Are you ready? Here it is: for every donation of $10 or more, I'll give you a shout out on my first Saturday morning show after we go live on 107.1 FM (which should be October 10th, which is also my fifth wedding anniversary!); for every donation of $25 or more, you get the shout out and I'll play your request on my first 107.1 FM show (with these restrictions: 1) no profanity, 2) can't be something you'd commonly hear on commercial radio, and, 3) maximum song length is 4:30, and the disclaimer that if I get a ton of donations, I may have to reserve extra songs for the next show). The original goal of CHIRP was to broadcast, and I've been here from the beginning. To see this finally come to fruition is extremely satisfying.
