Hey y'all,

It's hard to believe that I've been volunteering at CHIRP for almost two years now. From loading in at Pitchfork to tabling festivals to DJing my Tuesday morning shift (6-9 am CT!), it's been a wonderful experience, and I count it high on the list of things that have made Chicago feel like home.

This fundraising drive will help CHIRP take our next big step into the world: going live on air at 107.1 FM this fall! You can help make that happen (and provide some of the extra $15000 we need every year to keep that going) by supporting the station. We've got over 250 volunteers who have contributed over 5000 hours of service this year, but without your financial support we would have no outlet for that energy.

So, please support internet radio, support community organizing, and support a space that made a girl from the South feel like home in the Windy City. Be sure to tune in and hear more of my stories about the station on Tuesdays from 6-9am CT, and remember that every donation make a difference!
