UPDATE:  My kick-ass friends have shown their gracious support and I reached my goal in less time than I thought, So I am upping it to $500!  Check out the cool CHIRP schwag at chirpradio.org/donatenow!

As you may have heard me hark my show, "The Riff Hynoptic", on CHIRP radio from time-to-time on social media 9or even in PERSON (lucky you!), but you may not know what it is all about and how close it is to my heart. CHIRP radio started 8 years back with the intended goal of being a low-powered FM station that was spearheaded by a community of music lovers here in Chicago.  

We are not beholden to some corporate entity or even a university, we are sustaining, volunteer-run, non-profit, NON-COMMERCIAL, Chicago-music-focused radio station.  We've been online for many years now and will continue to be, but on OCTOBER 7th at 1:07pm, we are achieving our dream and flicking the switch on at 107.1FM here in Chicago.

Now it's not all wine & roses now that we have launch date,  this will be an increase to our operating  and equipment costs, as well as launching our new apps, more podcasts, events, streaming costs and all the good stuff we have always done at CHIRP.

I don't do these pleas hardly at all, but if you could help me make my modest goal of $200, I'd sure appreciate it.

Every donation goes straight to the station and let's Chicago have an independent music voice.
