Greetings friends!

This is my donation page for the Spring 2017 Fundraiser for CHIRP Radio! I am hoping to raise $100 for the Chicago Independent Radio Project to help them towards their goal of raising $20k this season. Please throw in $10 or $20 or whatever fits your budget! Every little bit brings us that much closer to our goal.

2017 has been an especially strange year for media companies. It seems as though many companies are either beholden to their corporate sponsors, or are castigated by politicians as having a specific agenda. Now more than ever, a free independent media is crucial to our democracy. CHIRP is a little guy in a big sea of signals, and we don't have corporate sponsorship. We are funded by donations from people like you, people helping keep us local and relevant to your lives. We are in your community, putting on shows, having record fairs, doing storytelling and podcasts, and of course, providing a platform for local and independent artists, the lesser heard gems that you didn't even know were there. We don't run ads. We don't bow to sponsors. We have live DJ's, who don't get paid, bringing in their favorite songs by local independent artists. 

Please give whatever you can, because we really rely on people like you to keep us doing what we do.
