Whether you're here because you are already a supporter of CHIRP (The Chicago Independent Radio Project), because you are a lover of good music, or because you know me and saw my ask for help — CHIRP needs your support now!

CHIRP Radio (streaming online & now broadcasting at 107.1FM in Chicago!) has been carrying the banner of independent music, arts & culture for over 10 years, and has been live on the airwaves every day for eight of those years. Our volunteer DJs always play great, commercial-free music, and our focus on diverse, local and underrepresented artists makes us something you won't find anywhere else.

If that isn't enough reason to get excited about CHIRP, we are still doing all the great things that you have come to know and love—hosting awesome music-centric events (Whistler nights, The First Time storytelling & music series, and our record fairs, to name a few), creating all self-produced content for our blog and podcast, and partnering with many local businesses, artists, and organizations to bring a variety of fresh content to our amazing CHIRP listeners and supporters.

What makes all of this happen? VOLUNTEERS! With the help of over 250 volunteers, CHIRP is able to broadcast, stream, host, sponsor, promote, market, design, partner, manage, and everything else that happens behind the scenes on a daily basis—plus fundraising just twice a year to keep it all going. Our new FM broadcast alone adds up to $15,000 in expenses each year, so we can't do this without your help!
