CHIRP's launch day, October 21, 2017, was really amazing, the culmination of ten years of hard work by a ton of committed people who are true believers in radio (that's CHIRP's Board Vice President Erin Van Ness and founding CHIRP Board member - and past Board President - Jenny Lizak in the pic with me on launch day). And so many of you joined us, either by tuning in wherever you were at 107.1FM, or by coming by and hanging out with us personally at Hopleaf when we flipped the switch.

Now, five months later, it's still exciting to me every time I turn on my car and hear CHIRP on the airwaves. It never gets old.

Your belief in our work and your generosity has made this whole first decade of the station's history possible, and we need you now more than ever in this new broadcast era. It's great to be on the air, but it's not free -- the broadcast adds about $15,000 in new annual expenses, so your commitment to this listener-supported radio station that we built literally from nothing is key  to our future successes.
