UPDATE: Due to overwhelming awesomeness from you all, I've updated my goal. I'm still looking for 15 individual donors, but we're reaching a little higher for the total dollars!
Guys, did you hear the news?? After years of hard work and listener support, we finally took to the Chicago airwaves at 107.1 FM last fall! To celebrate, we're looking to have our biggest fundraising drive yet.
In the next two weeks, I'm looking for 15 people to donate $10 each. Just $10! In Chicago, you're lucky if $10 gets you lunch, or a movie ticket, or a cocktail. But for CHIRP, $10 means one full day of transmission from our studio to our antenna, or half a day of streaming, or one SD card for our field recorders. $10 doesn't seem like enough? How about becoming a monthly sustainer at $10/month? That's a turntable tune-up, so we can keep spinning those rare LPs on the air! Plus you'll get a super cool, limited edition CHIRP launch t-shirt.
Even if you've only got $1, every little bit helps. I love being a CHIRP volunteer, and I couldn't be a DJ without your support. When you donate, leave a request, and I'll play them all during my shift on Monday, March 26th from 8-10pm.
