I can't believe that it's 2018!  This marks my 10th year of volunteering for CHIRP.  And what a ride it's been!  It's so funny to think back to the days when the station was nothing more than a dream.  I met with like-minded folks at coffee shops to discuss marketing and fundraising strategies.  I wrote music reviews.  I hand-stuffed letters and thank you gifts after each fundraising campaign.  I tabled events, collected hand-written letters to Congress, and spread the CHIRP gospel.  I watched the station grow from an idea, to an online station, to a traditional terrestrial station.  It's been a labor of love every step of the way.  I am amazed and in awe of what we have accomplished, and I can't wait to see what the future holds for this small independent radio station that I'm so lucky to be a part of.

Since 2018 marks my 10th year of volunteering for the station, I knew I wanted to do something really special for this year's fundraising campaigns.  So I took a look back and discovered that since 2008, I've helped raise $8263 for the station.  WHAT?!  I was totally blown away by that number.  And then I realized something even bigger: this means I'm only $1737 away from hitting a lifetime fundraising total of $10,000.  So that's what I'm going to do.  This year, in my 10th year of volunteering for the station, I'm going to hit $10,000 in lifetime fundraising for CHIRP.

This will be no small feat. The remaining $1737 I need to hit my lifetime $10,000 fundraising goal is FAR more than I have ever raised in a single year before.  I'm going to have to knock on some doors and call in a few favors.  But I think I can get there!  Because I know the most amazing, thoughtful, dedicated, and generous people in the world, and I know that people believe in CHIRP and our mission just as much as I do.  YOU can help me make this happen.

As always I make an awesome mix CD for each of my donors, and I enter each donor into a raffle for a special indiviualized prize, which is limited only to my donors (so your odds are pretty good!).  I really love making these mix CDs (even if sometimes it takes me a while to get them out the door).  Since I'm not a DJ, it's the closest you'll get to hearing me spin a little bit of musical love.  And the raffles are really fun to do too.  I get a kick out of putting the "fun" in fundraising!
