One of the passions in my life is the volunteer work I perform for CHIRP Radio-107.1 FM.  The station keeps me connected with Chicago’s music community and provides me with the opportunity to DJ every Friday from noon to 3 p.m. CDT. As a volunteer, I also review music for the DJs, help the music department maintain its extensive music library, serve on the programming committee, train new DJs and interview artists for the CHIRP blog.

I donate my time and money to this wonderful and unique radio station because I know my resources are going to a great cause. CHIRP is a vital part of Chicago's music community. We play music that you won't hear anywhere else, and now that we are live on 107.1 FM in Chicago, we reach an even bigger audience in the city, with thousands more listening around the world via the web and our Apple and Android apps. I can't describe what a thrill it is to play requests for long-time friends and new listeners, some of whom tune in from as far away as Mexico, New Zealand, Ireland and Uganda, or as close as one of Chicago's neighborhoods.

But since we are a listener-supported community radio station, we need your support to help us pay our expenses and keep the radio station strong.

CHIRP has set a goal of raising $25,000 during its Fall 2019 campaign and my personal goal again is to raise $1,071.
