With the COVID-19 pandemic, a lot of us are staying home these days, and for many, the Chicago Independent Radio Project (CHIRP-107.1 FM) provides the soundtrack to their day and keeps them from feeling isolated. I host a show every Friday from noon until 3 pm CDT and I know we are making a difference in the lives of our listeners. More listeners are making requests and nothing makes me happier than playing them, especially when the songs are great (and they usually are).

But running an independent radio station costs money, and requires the involvement of more than 250 volunteers like me. Although we have suspended our Spring 2020 campaign, I still want to raise money for the radio station to help it meet its financial obligations. Every dollar you contribute makes a huge difference, and my goal is to raise $1,071 to help CHIRP celebrate its 10th anniversary.
