Hello and WELCOME to the Heathen Disco Booster Squad. This is where I call upon you to donate to keep CHIRP Radio alive and on the air! I've got a $500 fundraising goal to meet, and will personally match the total donation up to $500!

I'll be fundraising for CHIRP as part of our Spring pledge drive all through the month of March. A $20 donation gets you a Heathen Disco can koozie (pictured) and a special gift of my choosing. Maybe it's something you're owed, maybe it's a surprise. $20 is what it takes to find out! Less than 40 cents a week for a year of radio shows. If you wanna donate more, go for it, but I think $20 is a fair amount. And it's not for me, it's for the non-commercial community radio station that's gracious enough to host this program, so that the whole endeavor can continue to operate.

I started doing radio in 1993, and I never got out of the mindset that music was the most interesting thing in our culture. I don't get tired of it and I don't get bored of this show. If you need examples, there's over 200 past episodes of the show to stream online, and each one is linked to a playlist.

Heathen Disco is name of the radio show I've been doing since 2015, Sunday nights 9pm-midnight, here in Chicago on CHIRP Radio 107.1fm. I took my time to acclimate myself to the city, build an identity, understand the musical landscape of Chicago and engineer how I could best fit into it.

Doug Mosurock is Heathen Disco; Heathen Disco is Doug Mosurock. It's the music I play, the sounds that fall under this tent. It's different than any other show on CHIRP, by design. It also shares similar qualities with the rest of CHIRP's programming in that I focus on brand new music that no one else is playing, and give special attention to Chicago music old and new. The show is filled out mainly with music from my personal wall of vinyl and hutch of cassette tapes. I'm out on the grind every week, in the crates and the digital salt mines, finding music to share with you on the radio. 

Heathen Disco is not beholden to one genre. Indie, punk/postpunk, new wave, dance music (electronic and otherwise), Goth/darkwave, hip hop, jazz, soul, rock, psych, country, folk, noise, drone, and all points in between are covered on the show each week, mixed live on the air.
