CHIRP is a volunteer-driven, community radio station that focuses on music, arts, and culture. The station can be heard on the north side of Chicago at 107.1FM and worldwide at chirpradio.org. I am proud to be a CHIRP Board Member. The station is an integral part of our family's daily life, and we enjoy discovering music that we would have otherwise never heard.

This has been an especially tough year for the station as most of their in-person fundraisers, including the annual record fair were canceled. This is also CHIRP's tenth anniversary year, and while it hasn't turned out as planned, we're proud to help them celebrate a decade of Chicago independent community radio. Instead of parties and open studio events, we've spent the last six months, one DJ at a time in a carefully disinfected studio, keeping you connected while we all worked to stay safe. We've worked hard to amplify the voices of local artists who can't play live and local venues who were first to close, and to help you feel less alone at a time when it's easy to feel distant from your community.
