Boy it's been a weird, tough year. This is CHIRP's 10th anniversary year, and instead of celebrating with lots of parties, we're all staying home to keep safe and healthy. Well—we haven't all stayed home. CHIRP DJs having been going into the station every week to keep the music going for you, to keep you feeling connected when we are in lockdown.

And to be honest, it's been my pleasure and my privelege to do that for you. 

But the point is—we still have bills to pay, and we haven't been able to run our usual fundraisers. We still have rent, streaming costs, and equipment costs. (Remember when that tornado hit Chicago? Crazy right? That was right near where our antenna is located, and now we need to get it repaired.)

This wasn't how we anticipated spending our tenth anniversary year. We've worked hard to amplify the voices of local artists who can't play live and local venues who were first to close, and to help you feel less alone at a time when it's easy to feel distant from your community.
