Friends,

As most of you know I'm a big supporter of independent music and a forever fan of radio (I mean, I majored in 'Broadcast Radio' in college, which as a stand alone area of study likely doesn't exist anymore). Since 2017 I've been involved with CHIRP Radio, a unique non-profit organziation that features local and lesser know independent music, sprinkled with the occasional tune from a bombastic 80s hair band, or perhaps a Terry Riley ambient musing - in other words, sometimes anything goes. In a world of horrid and generic broadcast radio programming, it's a relief to hear music that's new, passionate, and challenging.
