Hi everyone, happy Spring Fundraiser! We are trying to raise $30,000. I am hoping to personally find 15 donors and raise $750. (I'll match the first $250.)

CHIRP is a non-profit community radio station that heavily relies on listener support, particularly when so many of our in-person events have been cancelled over the past two years. At (almost) any time of day, you can turn on CHIRP and hear the songs that one of our DJs have selected for you, with a focus on new and local music. We also read PSAs, promote Chicago independent businesses, and maybe even tell you about the weather. Algorithms definitely have their appeal, but it's nice to hear a real person grounded in a particular location with their own unique taste. 

On a personal note, CHIRP has been especially valuable to me over the past couple of years, both as a DJ and as a listener. It was obviously weird to not see friends, go to shows, or do a lot of the other things that I normally enjoy. CHIRP helped me maintain some routine, some discovery, and some connection to others. Your support of CHIRP means a lot.
