DJ Stevo's Fall Fundraising Thang

Greetings!

Ten years and 5 months ago, I sat in a chair, donned headphones, and spun tunes "on the air" for the first time since my college days at WKDI. From there, you pretty much find me on the air Fridays from 3PM to 6PM serving up great tunes on The Friday Afternoon Happy Hour.

There's been a lot happening over those 10 years. From volunteering with a weekly radio show, to becoming an Assist Music Director, to Music Director. CHIRP has gone through some changes as well. From being a streaming only Internet station to launching our terrestrial FM broadcast at 107.1FM serving the north side of Chicago.

The station is run by over 200 volunteers who make CHIRP what it is. A great community radio station that features local and independent acts. We partner with other non-profits and worthwhile causes around the city to get the word out and "do our part to keep the community strong."
