Dear Carbon-based Life Form, whom I Dearly Love,

You may know I love music; you may not know I used to DJ on my Carrier Current college radio station and overnights for a summer on a small Toledo R&B station; a few of you know about CHIRP (CHICAGO Independent Radio Project). The core group of this locally-focused, community-based, listener-funded station was the catalyst for getting low-power FM radio stations approved by the FCC!

I've been a moral and financial supporter from the start, and have recently begun volunteering as well (think: A Return to the Airwaves!).

As timing would have it, we're about to go into the semi-annual Fundraising campaign. IF YOU CAN, and would be so kind, we would all appreciate it if you could contribute to what so many have created and so many more (usually about 200-250 volunteers at any one time) keep going on a daily basis.

There's only ONE paid staff; the majority of funds raised goes to everything else: equipment, music, broadcast tower, streaming fees, equipment maintenance, paper clips, post-it notes, sani-wipes — everything from big to small.
