Hi, new volunteer here.
So I just started at CHIRP within the last couplathree months and I've already hoodwinked them into letting me on the air to DJ and talk and stuff. I know, right? But it feels like I've been a part of CHIRP much longer simply because I've been a pretty loyal listener for a few years. Anyway, now I get to contribute. Or more accurately. I get to ask you to contribute. We're an all-volunteer organization but we are listener supported. We're an actual, real-world FM radio station so we have actual, real-world bills—rent, utilities, and they're not giving away those FM transmitters. Plus, like everything else, the pandemic put the kibosh on many of our best in-person fundraisers. tt takes contributions from wonderful people such as yourselves to help us keep making the magic happen. Even the smallest donation will earn my eternal gratitude. Pretty good deal when you thing about it. And if for some reason. God forbid, I can't hit my goal, you might have to explain to my pupper in the pic why he can no longer rock out to his station of choice. And nobody wants that.
CHIRP is a community radio station built just for you.
Great music. No commercials. Real DJs. CHIRP is proud to provide you with live, local radio every single day, with passionate, curious DJs who love to share their musical discoveries.
Supporters like you are a crucial part of the CHIRP community, and your generous support makes everything we do possible. We are a truly independent, listener-supported radio station, never beholden to corporate interests.
If you believe in this work, and if you're able, we please make a donation to CHIRP today.
IMPORTANT: If you would like to become a sustaining member by making a recurring donation (monthly or quarterly), or if you want to select a thank you gift, please visit CHIRP's main donation page to make your contribution (and to give in support of the person making this post, be sure to type their full name in the "volunteer to credit" section so they can receive credit for your gift).
