It's the final push! The Spring Fundraiser is nearly at it's end. If you're reading this, you probably already know all about CHIRP and why I'm asking for your donation. Help me help the greatest independent, local radio station keep up the biznizz!

We're over the initial goal of $500!

Huge thanks to recent donors Chuck, Allison, Jennifer, Joe, Dad, Julie and Dan, Suzanne, Eric and Graham, Missie, Dave, Tom and Katy and Tom and Penny for their donations! Literally couldn't do this without their or your generocity.

Now that we've made it this far, let's up the goal to $800!

Thank you to Bob and Nicki and Mikey and Greg, who have single-handedly, (octuple-handedly?) covered 70% of my $500 goal! Cheers! 

With 30% left in this intial goal, I'm asking if you can join these dynamic and highly likable folks (who love their music local and independent) in making a donation. If my math is correct, and it rarely is, if 15 of you lovely peeps donate $10 each, I'll have met my goal and CHIRP will be able to pay for things such as…

• Rent for both the studio and where we keep our transmitter
• Internet streaming capabilities
• Upkeep and replacement of equipment
• Various licensing fees, and so much more!

Keep in mind, CHIRP is entirely volunteer-driven, minus one paid employee (not me). We love what we do and what we do is bring you the best local, independant and otherwise ridiculously fine music to your brains.

Hello again peeps, it's springtime which means one thing and only one thing…only, it's fundraising time at CHIRP!

Positive changes have occurred since last I bother…since we've last been in touch. I've become a sub DJ! What does that mean? It means if a DJ with a regular shift comes down with rickets (it's dark in the studio and you need your vitamin D) or maybe had to suddenly skip town (none of my business), my fellow sub DJs and I can swoop in and cover their shift for them. Some of you may have heard me doing just that on Sunday mornings (6-9am) this past January/February and a smidge of March. If so, I at least hope I wasn't irritating, and at most, slightly irritating.

Someone recently asked if CHIRP has been everything I expected. My answer? Simply, yes. You can never tell how you might fit into an organization but these here are my kind of people: hard-working, dependable, supportive, fun and IN NEED OF YOUR DONATION!

It's no easy task keeping a commercial-free, volunteer-run, community radio station chugging along, and that's why your donation is so important. If you love music, and you want it brought to you by REAL HUMAN BEINGS with their own quirks, idiosyncrasies, opinions and expertise, CHIRP is here for you. I've discovered first hand how great it is to bring you that music, what it's like to personally curate a weekly playlist and how satisfying that has been. But the most satisfying bit is hearing from you directly. Whether through your song requests, face to face at live events or through your generous donation twice a year, you being there with CHIRP on this musical joyride means everything.
