Hi Everyone!

As most of you know, I am a longtime volunteer for CHIRP Radio, an independent, volunteer-driven community radio station dedicated to providing our listeners with the best local and independent music of all genres and eras!  I have been involved with the station since September 2016, before we even began broadcasting on the 107.1 FM signal in October 2017.  It has been amazing to watch the station grow and it feels great to be part of something bigger than myself.  I currently host Liberation Frequency on Friday evenings from 8-10 and it is easily the best part of my week!  I also volunteer in many different off-air capacities as well including serving as an Assistant Music Director from 2021-2024, reviewing albums to add to our library, tabling at countless street festivals and concerts to promote the station, and fundraising like I am doing right now :)

We continue to provide a much-needed alternative to the increasingly bland commerical radio landscape and serve as an important outlet for many new local and independent artists to gain exposure. The music we play is very eclectic. On my show, you can hear anything ranging from punk, metal, folk, alt-country, electronic, jazz, hip hop, and so much more!  To keep our awesome radio experiment going, we have a goal to raise $48,000 for the Spring 2025 Fundraising Drive and I have a personal goal of raising $450. It's hard to believe that it's been a decade and a half since we launched the station! Some things have changed a lot, but what's stayed the same is our commitment to bringing you live, local, commercial-free music programming lovingly curated by our DJs every single day, plus dozens of events that showcase our city's diverse music, arts and cultural scenes.

In 2025 we're celebrating our history while looking to the future, including rebuilding our website and mobile app into a sleek integrated web app that we know you'll love.
