This year, we celebrate our 15th anniversary at 107.1 FM. Back when I first heard of CHIRP, they were solely web based. I bought my first CHIRP shirt from DJ Tony Breed at a street fest way back when, hardly imagining I'd too be a DJ or even have a position on staff. I love this station, I love what I do here and your donations truly make that possible.

Building a new website and app!
• We’re rebuilding our website for the first time in twelve years, and our app for the first time in six years. There will be a single account for both. This is a feature listeners asked for and we’re delivering on!

• Android just pushed an update that killed our app – but we’re building a brand new one and won’t have these issues in the future!

Hosting the third annual CHIRP Music Film Fest at a new location, the Music Box Theatre!
• Kicking things of on May 15th with Eno, the generative documentary about artist Brian Eno and running through May 18th

This year, I was promoted to the position of Design Lead. This relates to the graphic design projects we undertake, and also to finding volunteers who might take an interest in said projects. So far, so good. My first order of business was creating all the collateral for this very fundraiser (including the thank you gift designs).

It's hard to believe that it's been a decade and a half since we launched the station! Some things have changed a lot, but what's stayed the same is our commitment to bringing you live, local, commercial-free music programming lovingly curated by our DJs every single day, plus dozens of events that showcase our city's diverse music, arts and cultural scenes.

In 2025 we're celebrating our history while looking to the future, including rebuilding our website and mobile app into a sleek integrated web app that we know you'll love.
